
Nadine Marejke Angerer
Nadine Angerer forward turned goalkeeper was born on 10th November 1978 in Lohr, West Germany. Nadine started her career with ASV Hofstetten as a forward. During a match she was asked to substitute the injured goalkeeper and that substitution changed her profile completely. She never went back to play as a Striker.
She moved to 1. FC Nuremberg in the year and the following year she joined FC Wacker Munich. She played for Bayern Munich from 1991 through 2001. She played a major role in the rise of the club’s standing in the League. Her next club was Turbine Potsdam, where she was instrumental in the club winning the German Cup for three year s in a row 2004, 2005 and 2006. She was the part of the German team which lifted the Women’s World Cup in 2007. The highlight of this tournament was that the team won the Cup without even a single goals being scored against them. During this World Cup she set a record for not conceding a goal for 540 minutes which included a penalty shot by the most dreaded player of the tournament, Marta of Brazil. She was adjudged as the Goalkeeper of the tournament. "What I experienced today was undoubtedly the highlight of my entire sporting life," she told FIFA.com in an exclusive interview shortly after the final in Shanghai.
Angerer maiden international match came against Netherlands in 1997. In 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, the team finished third with a Bronze medal.
Djurgårdens IF Dam of Sweden was her the next club on her list. Soon she moved back to Germany and joined 1. FFC Frankfurt.
