The Football Ferns
2011 World Cup is the third time that the "Football Ferns" have qualified for the World Cup. However, they have not been able to make it to the knock out stages even once. The New Zealanders are being trained by John Herdman.
Besides being the current Champions of the Ozeanienmeisterschaft (2010), they have also won the title in 1983, 1991 and 2007. As hosts of the Asian Cup in 1975, they have lifted the Asian Cup. The team from Oceania has played the 2011 World Cup hosts twice in the past in 1998 but both times the Football Ferns were disappointed.
In 2011 the New Zealanders are in group ‘B’ along with Japan, Mexico and England and would be starting their Campaign on the 27th June against Japan in Bochum.
